chiropractors; approximately four and a half million Canadians use the service of a chiropractor every year. The benefits of Chiropractic care are well recognized by other health care providers. In a 1995 survey, 44 percent of Ontario and Alberta medical physicians indicated they refer patients to chiropractors.
At Cowichan Valley Chiropractic we are primarily a holistic full spine, condition based practice. We do endorse and practice ‘wellness’ philosophies but our primary goal is to resolve your condition and get you back to doing the things you love to do. We try to create a rehabilitative strategy for each patient, which primarily consists of exercises to improve flexibility, strength, cardiovascular fitness and balance to try and prevent reoccurrence of your condition. And we are more than happy to explain the rational behind our therapeutic decisions; we want you to know what we are doing. |

In addition to spinal adjusting (we utilize a number of adjusting techniques) we also utilize soft tissue therapies (trigger point therapy, muscle release technique) and modalities (cryotherapy, ultrasound, TENS, IPS-TENS) to treat your condition. For physical rehabilitation we have Swiss Balls, therabands, rocker boards, wobble boards and an in-house weight gym. We are also willing to spend time with our patients. |
